The latest beta version of WhatsApp makes it much easier to log in on a new device: a simple automated phone call is all it takes
The new whatsapp feature is here for save you time and effort when signing in to your account on a new device. Until now, in order to access an existing WhatsApp account, it was necessary verify access with a code. But, for some time now, the company has been working on a new verification methodmore convenient and with hardly any user interaction required.
Since WABetaInfo have reported the arrival of this new verification system, known as “flash calls”. Thanks to them, it will no longer be necessary to enter a verification code when associating your WhatsApp account to a device.

As has been verified, when log in to a WhatsApp account on a devicethe app will give the option to verify phone number making an automated call, without the need to enter the six-digit code.
The call will end immediatelyand, as long as WhatsApp has been granted permission to access call history, it will check if the called phone number matches the phone number in the account.
In case of not being able to use this verification method, the possibility of verify account via SMSusing the six-digit code as before.
The feature is already coming to whatsapp-beta for android with the latest version of the application. According to count from WABetaInfo, this option will not come to WhatsApp for iOS due to the absence of a public API that allows querying the call log.
